Holy **** on a **** sandwich with **** on top. And a side helping of ****! Peter submitted.... a PENCIL SKETCH?!

Yes, Hell has indeed frozen over. I do in fact sketch with a pencil on paper :p Alas I lack a scanner so you'll have to make do with a photo. I know the lighting's not the best so I'll try and work on that for next time.

I've been toying a lot with how Mewrah should look. When I re-submitted the "looks" picture a few weeks back, a number of people commented on how they liked the red top (which, fact fans, was part of the design !Hyazon did when he helped me revive the character). With that in mind I decided to update her look with this new top as the starting point. I've been struggling to think of some new aspects for her design and over the last few weeks decided to throw in shorts, leath criss cross.... thingys on her legs, a sash and (though not shown becaus I FORGOT to draw them) the "Fujin Bands", aka the wind equivalent of what Silrun wears. I've also included her sword, though in the finished picture I intend to draw it in her scabbard and on her back. So, what do you think so far?

This WIP image is submitted purely for the benefit of receiving opinions, help and feedback from friends and will be moved to the scrap gallery when I feel I have gotten the help I'd like.

I reckon it'd look good. Only thing I could really mention is I think her upper-torso clothing looks a little bare. Maybe add some shoulder pads or something along those lines, though that's just my opinion.

Out of curiosity, is the colour scheme going to be yellow and black like the armour her old version wore?

I hadn't thought about shoulder armour. I supose it would fit in considering I view her as a female warrior.

Colours are likely to be red shirt/dark blue shorts/black sash, though I might consider black shorts and a yellow sash as a nod to her old armour. Come to think of it, maybe I should draw it again some time, perhaps as a variant look.

With that sash around her waist, she totally reminds me of a pirate! XD Is Mewrah a feminine character or a tomboy sort? A pirate-ish look could work for a tomboy, but if she's feminine, maybe add a skirt or jewelry?

As for her personality, hard to say really. I've never really viewed her as being a tomboy or feminine. However she was inspired by strong, "I don't need saving!" style women like Tifa so I'd guess she leans more towards being a tomboy, though she still has a kind, caring, loving heart.
