Okay, this journal is a little late (just over a week) but the 15th of April marked my fifth year since my return to dA as "pawcanada". Despite the age of my last account it was only really in 2008 that I really started to invest time in drawing (and even then it only lasted around nine months) where as I feel now I have invested more time to improve my skills and get better. Am I as far as I'd like to be? Lord no; I'd say 2.5 - 3 years of my time has been spent battling art block and/or fatigue :P. Still I intend, now more so than ever, to dedicate as much time to my art and try to improve. The last few Snow pictures, both of which were hand drawn and the upcoming third (technically fourth...) version of "Waiting for the Sun" are hopefully better signs of my improvement.

I would also like to take a moment to thank some of the amazing people who've helped me over these last few years, whether it's people like StaciNadia and Typhoon-The-Hybrid whom I knew in my old days, to more recent supporters like CMBaggs, User-2018225d and toonartist; your feedback, suggestions and general support has been greatly appreciated. I really feel dA works at it's best when people work together and support one and other; take the time to write details comments or just socalise over the "Cool pic bro" and/or "Fave And Run". Don't get me wrong on either account, I know why people do this and I've been know to do so myself, especially if I have a massive backlog of pictures I want to look at. However I always try to take the time to support my friends, if nothing else and I appreciate it when you do so back, so once again, thank you :D (and yes, I am aware I'm behind on some of your recent work ;):P).

I'll be looking to do a more fuller journal/update along with friend feature, this time for StaciNadia but will likely do so later in the weekend as my lunch hour is nearly up. Also if you missed it, I'd highly advise reading my previous PSA journal about a possible account that has been hacking users whom click on it.

Spreading WarningsA journal by someone I follow, Shabazik has mentioned that he believes his account could ahve been hacked after accidentally clicking the profile. More details can be found in his journal:

While I don't have the name of the account too hand and it may be unlikely someone could hack your account like that (although it might be possible with Javascript) I felt it was worth passing this along to hopefully prevent others from encountering a similar fate.

Hmmm if I combined my old account I never used with the one I have now, maybe I might get 5 years too. You are right about artist giving each other feedback, and the community working together. Most times I feel like the DA community is not that talkative is all, so it's really hard to get to know people and make friends. Good to know you've met a good group of people who help you out.
